VoIP Phone Service - Free International Calls

Do you know that you can now make International calls for free without having to pay a single cent? This is possible due to the advancement of technology. It is commonly known as VoIP. VoIP stands for Voice over IP. It is not a new technology, and the whole concept is based on the IP protocol, which is what the Internet uses to transmit and receive data.

Many of us are already familiar with this protocol. But what some of us do not know is that the same IP protocol can be used to transmit voice data as well. If you use a normal desktop system, which is connected to the Internet, you may not be able to make calls simply because the IP protocol can only transmit digital data, and not analog data. Voice data, by default, is in analog format. Hence, you can't use a traditional phone to make a VoIP call.

What you need is either some special hardware or software that will help convert analog data into digital voice format. The voice is then transmitted over the public network via the IP protocol. Similarly, whoever is at the other end of the line will also need some special equipment to receive the data, and convert it back to voice.

Whenever you sign up with a VoIP network as a member, you will be advised on the equipment that is compatible with the network. Such equipment is also known as user agents. Many well established brand names are included in the list, so you can take your pick.

Once you have the equipment setup and installed, you can start making calls immediately. Bear in mind that you need to be connected to the Internet at all times. Therefore, it is recommended that you connect to a stable broad band network when making the calls. On a unstable or slow network, there may be a severe lag in the transmission and receiving of data.

If you are calling another member of the same VoIP network, you don't need to pay a single cent. For this reason, you should refer more of your family and friends to join the same VoIP network as you. Identify the people who are closest to you. These are the people you call most often. And refer them to the network so that they can join as members too.

Make an appointment if you think the call will take up quite some time. Have both parties connect to the Internet, and you can start making long distance calls without having to pay. In the event that you want to get in touch with someone who is not connected to the Internet, you can always use VoIP service to call land lines or cell phones. In this case, a fee is chargeable. But the calling rates are still way below that of traditional long distance calls. That means there will be an immense amount of savings for all members within the network.

The MIL-STD-130 is the standard to guide the UID marking system of all military and defense related items. The Department of Defense mandates that the items that are delivered to the organization should comply with the standards of MIL-STD-130 to get accepted. However, the standards have undergone certain changes from time to time and with each version of the MIL-STD-130, a new set of criteria have been introduced. Considering the loopholes of the MIL-STD-130L, the DoD has introduced the new version in the form of MIL-STD-130m. The new standard was introduced on 2nd December 2005. It has overcome the problems related to item marking method that were found in its previous version.

MIL-STD_130m and its Scope

As it is mandatory for all the items of the Department of Defense to have unique identification number, the MIL-STD-130m standards provide marking criteria to maintain marking requirements of the organization. It contains instruction about the marking procedures of military property and items that are produced, stored, stocked and issued for/by the Department of Defense. The criteria mentioned by the MIL-STD-130m are for both human readable information (HRI) and machine readable information (MRI). The changes to the standard have been introduced to enhance the functionality of the marking system.

Figures of MIL-STD-130m

The figures mentioned in the MIL-STD-130m standard are instructions given to the users to help them in understanding the practices of the texts. Although the presence of these figures have nothing much to do with the applicability of the stated practice or requirements, in some cases the figures provide a level of detail needed for the purpose.

Application Exclusions of MIL-STD-130m

The standards are applicable for the items that are subjected to have a DoD recognized UID. The items that don’t qualify the criteria of UID item marking don’t come under the MIL-STD-130m standards.

Application and Tailoring of MIL-STD-130m

According to the standard the items are evaluated acquiring the activity of the requirements. The standard is the measure to judge the extent to which the requirements can be tailored. It is determined in order to ensure only the minimum essential needs of the Government.

The MIL-STD-130m standard has determined two types of identification marking of the item.

Machine Readable Information Marking

According to the new amendment of MIL-STD-130m, machine readable information is an essential part of UID marking for all items. The kind of marking include bars, squares and other specific shapes and are decoded with the help of specially designed equipments. The machine readable information includes data such as part number, serial number, National stock number and manufacturer’s identification number. The codes are either visible to human eyes or are applied to the items and parts as infrared, ultraviolet or digital protocol application.

Human Readable Information Marking

The MIL-STD-130m standard requires that the human readable information (HRI) should be etched to the item of labels with clear texts. The information should contain required information and should be visible and readable without the help of any interpretative device. The data of the HRI should include part number, item identifying number and LOT number of that particular military property.

More iPhone Games known, but App Store to Face Piracy?

With the Apple's advancement in their technology in the iPhone
and iTouch, more and more people are getting hooked to having it the gadget to go. With the great graphics and multi-touch sensitivity, more games are being made by both individuals and independent software developers such as Beteo Games (http://www.beteogames.com) and more on the rise.

The easy access to a software development tool, and affordable registration to the app store has somewhat opened Apple's doors to game producers to make more money by delivering it directly to customers. With the more costly production cost of the Nintendo DS and PSP, it is almost an instinct to make the move to producing iPhone Games.

Creativity is the promise of independent software developers, and fresh blood can pour in into the iPhone and iTouch, producing games for every age and taste.

But as more and more games are produced, so is the idea born of getting free games, or another term for piracy, such as what happened to the PC Gaming world. Many gaming platforms are already facing this dilemma, but could iPhone be next?

Word is spreading out that you can get any iPhone app for free, as to the app store has not given any sort of protection to the host that produces this games. But is it worth it? Is iphone gaming in peril?

If you are a software developer, then you should really think about this issue because you might face the problem of piracy, all those effort to make great games might be in vain. Popular gaming consoles have different layers of protection, making them a great consideration for any producer.

If you are a game aficionado who likes to steal games, I tell you it is not worth it. iPhone apps are selling very cheap, cheaper than PC or other handheld gaming consoles, so spending a little on can make you show your appreciation to the producers to their effort of producing such quality games, or you may not experience any great games anymore at all in the future.

Make Money By Using Online Article Marketing

Written on 10.55 by jenny

When trying to make money by online article marketing as your basic strategy, you will find that there are no "experience required" signs hanging over your head. Unlike looking for a high paying job in the offline world, the internet doesn't require you to have a 4-year college education with a Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in anything. It is the only career where you can start with zero experience, learn the ropes as you go along, and earn money that grows exponentially with your experience.

But, when we talk about experience, in article or internet marketing, what exactly are we meaning? What experiences are you going to either need to bring with you or pick up along the way? Obviously, to be a successful and to make money by online article marketing, you are not going to start or remain in a vacuum the whole time. Not if you expect to be making a good living off of your internet income stream, or any money at all for that matter.

The first skill you will want to acquire is how to pick out the right articles that will send the right kind of traffic, targeted traffic, to any sites or blogs you are promoting. Without targeted traffic, you will remain broke and wishing you could make money. By picking out the right articles, I mean choosing between fishing for content at free article directories, or paying a professional to write them for you, or writing them yourself. There are advantages and disadvantages to each approach, but typically the paid professional pathway has more commonly led marketers to profit quicker and greater.

The next thing you need to do is learn how to pick the keywords and phrases that will be responsible for bringing you a good flow of targeted traffic, while at the same time not being too competitive to where you find it hard to land on the first or second page of the search engine results for those keywords you have selected. If you are picking keywords that are also being used by the larger companies, you don't stand a chance.

Then, you need to get familiar with what search engine optimization is, and how it will help you in landing that coveted spot on page one of the search engine results pages. Once you get good with this skill, combined with being able to pick good, low-competition keywords, you will find yourself in an enviable position of being able to not only enter into, but quickly dominating the niche market of your choice, as you will get a great deal of visitors, which will mean a great deal of income.

If you want to only deal with one website as your means of making money online, then you need to learn how to promote that website to your audience through paid banner ads and various test link strategies. Otherwise, if the very small two to five page niche sites are more your flavor, then you will not want to use paid banner ads and text link strategies to promote all these minisites, as this would not be a very cost effective strategy for you. More of your profits will be going out the window than need be.

Following this pathway to learning, and sticking with it during the first few months of your internet marketing training period, then you will not fail to become an expert. Reading ebooks and visiting forums frequented by newbies and veterans alike will give you just enough to get started in the right direction, to where you can then learn as you go. Making money by online article marketing is a good start for your internet campaigns and the money that you make along the way you can then reinvest to gain greater insights into an even greater profit stream.
